Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She plays for Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale was a college basketball player playing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before getting drafted by the Wings as the fifth overall selection for the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She was the second child of Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her brothers. As the youngest family member, her parents provided her with the most exemplary treatment. Gregory Ogunbowale's father was a soldier in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare plays football. Aunt Endia Oliver, played volleyball at Tennessee State and her niece was a former volleyball player with UAPB. Her name was listed on the honour roll of her school three consecutive years. She also received recognition for her accomplishments in high school, including various awards. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in her hometown. She was also a part of three seasons of varsity while she was studying there. Ogunbowale was able to lead her team to multiple victories using her outstanding abilities. In her high school career she's scored started 73 times and has 1,477 total points. She also lists 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale played in the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships where she won Gold Medals. In July of 2014, she was selected to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale she is currently entering her first year of collegiate play, was named one of the ACC All-Freshman Team. Kobe Bryant congratulated her after making several impressive shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, who is relatively new to basketball, has already become a major star. It is likely that she will keep on going in her career. Arike Ogunbowale could have a net worth of $5 million according to an anonymous source. Ogunbowale's abilities aren't restricted to basketball. She plays soccer too and has won three State Cup championships for Lake County United Soccer Club. Lake County United Soccer Club as well as a State cup with FC Milwaukee Soccer Club.
